LAKE CHARLES LA. – The Louisiana Swashbucklers have finalized the regular season schedule for 2012. It will be the eighth season in team history. All home games are played in the Smuggler’s Den at the Lake Charles Civic Center. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. for the home opener and 7:00pm for all other home games.

The team will have a 12 game schedule with six home games and six away. The top four finishers in the league will participate in the playoffs. “This is a very balanced and competitive schedule we face for next season,” said Swashbucklers President and GM Chris Meaux. “Our fans will see us play some familiar teams and new ones on the field. We will maintain our rivalries with the Columbus Lions and Albany Panthers while facing new competition from the Alabama Hammers, Richmond Raiders and Knoxville Nighthawks.

These opponents will provide our fans with the excitement and action that has become a trademark of Swashbucklers football. 2012 will be one of our best seasons ever!”
