Calcasieu Parish McDonald’s Celebrate Christmas with the Children of the Calcasieu Women’s Shelter

Calcasieu Parish McDonald’s hosted a Christmas party for the children of the Calcasieu Women’s Shelter on December 9 in the Playland room at the McDonald’s on Ryan Street in Lake Charles.

The children enjoyed a fun-filled evening of play, face painting, crafts, treats, gifts and Happy Meals® with Santa and Mrs. Claus, McDonald’s Grimace, McNeese’s Rowdy, Louisiana Swashbucklers’ Marcus Wildrige and First Mates Ashley Mangrum, Micah Hunter and Mikalyn Brow. Dollar Tree, on Ryan Street in Lake Charles generously donated toys and games.

The Calcasieu Women’s Shelter is a support system for victims of domestic and sexual violence, providing emergency shelter for battered women and their children, non-residential services, children services, legal advocacy, hospital advocacy, community education/training, career training, adult basic education and an after-school program.
